Board Racial Equity Principles
Understanding the critical role AHCMC plays in providing equitable funding and resources to all artists, scholars, and organizations in Montgomery County, AHCMC’s Board is committed to sustained investments in racial equity, implicit bias, and anti-racism training and practices for our board, our staff and our grantees. In 2019, 100% of AHCMC’s Board participated in racial equity training through the Racial Equity Institute and adopted three racial equity principles created by alumni from National Arts Strategies’ Chief Executive Program, including AHCMC’s CEO Suzan Jenkins. These three principles guide every aspect of AHCMC’s operations and grantmaking from the day-to-day to long-term visioning and strategic planning. Click to learn more.
