power2give.org allows nonprofit arts and cultural organizations across Montgomery County to post and promote creative projects; funding them through hundreds of 100% tax-deductable micro-donations. Similar to Kickstarter, Indiegogo, this crowdfunding platforms encourages individuals and organizations to invest in specific projects that make the direct impact they desire.

Projects on power2give.org provide audiences and donors with a new portal to learn about and support the specific needs and upcoming projects, performances, and capacity building initiatives of local cultural institutions. The platform provides a unique digital menu of opportunities that enable donors to identify and support the projects and organizations that speak most directly to their passions and values.

Donations on power2give.org range from as little as $5 to as much as $5,000 and can be made by credit card or check. This donation diversity enables power2give.org’s success and empowers our communities to support the projects and organizations they love while encouraging the development of new donors and increasing local philanthropy to the cultural sector.

What Makes power2give.org Unique?

Unlike many other platforms, all donations through power2give.org are tax-deductible and all donations are provided to fundraising organizations as long as the project remains viable. On platforms like Kickstarter, an organization will receive no funding unless they meet or exceed their goal. An organization could raise $4,999 of a $5,000 goal, but receive $0 in funding. With power2give.org all donations are processed and provided to fundraisers regardless of what they raise as long as the project remains viable and the restricted funds can be used for their intended purpose.
